Volleyball Recap: Klein Comes Up Short

Klein was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Magnolia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Klein was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-14.

Jaicee Smith paced Klein's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith were helped by Mariah Brown and Lola Torres, who contributed ten assists each.

Klein's defeat dropped their record down to 16-21. As for Magnolia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-11 record this season.

Klein does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Magnolia, they are taking a road trip to square off against A&M Consolidated at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
