Basketball Game Preview: Wellsville-Middletown Tigers vs. South Callaway Bulldogs

After both having extra time off, the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers and the South Callaway Bulldogs will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wellsville-Middletown is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Montgomery County by a score of 42-39 last Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since November 29, 2023.

Meanwhile, South Callaway was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-31 loss at the hands of Versailles.

Wellsville-Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Callaway, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Wellsville-Middletown was taken down by South Callaway 73-30 in their previous matchup back in February of 2016. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wellsville-Middletown was down 37-15.
