Baseball Game Preview: Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool Warriors vs. Christian Life Preparatory Knights

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool hasn't had much luck against Christian Life Preparatory recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool is taking a road trip to challenge Christian Life Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Christian Life Preparatory's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Texas Wind by a score of 8-5.

Colton Shockey made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cooper Stone was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Dylan Dougharty was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Christian Life Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on March 4th as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Calvary Academy, falling 15-2.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Christian Life Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool took their win against Christian Life Preparatory in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 11-3. Will Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool repeat their success, or does Christian Life Preparatory has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
