Volleyball Recap: Westminster Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Westminster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1.

Westminster had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Juan Gonzales paced Westminster's offense, picking up ten kills. Gonzales got some help from Adrian Vannavong and his six assists. Gonzales was also a major player on defense: he and Ryan Lor shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Despite the loss, Riverdale Ridge still got an impressive performance from Riley Lo, who had 15 assists and three digs.

Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Riverdale Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Westminster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Forge Christian on the 31st. As for Riverdale Ridge, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Rangeview on the 29th.
