Pollok Central won against Woodville last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Newton Eagles by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-1 back in March.

The win made it two in a row for Pollok Central and bumps their season record up to 16-7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Newton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Pollok Central will host Diboll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lumberjacks have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Newton, they are taking a road trip to take on Huntington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
