Petersburg dropped their record down to 18-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the South Harrison Hawks by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for South Harrison, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-13. They haven't had any issues with Petersburg recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

For South Harrison's part, Petersburg's batters probably weren't too happy with Layton Wageman, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Wageman has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Seth Gain, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Saltis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Petersburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Braxton County on the 16th. Hopefully South Harrison paid attention to the Vikings' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
