Football Recap: North Grand Falls Short of Morgan Park in the Playoffs

North Grand and Morgan Park squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but North Grand had to settle for second. They lost 26-0 to the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Eagle Owls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

North Grand has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Morgan Park, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Grand will challenge rival Rickover Naval at 4:30 p.m. on October 3. Meanwhile, Morgan Park is set to take on their familiar foe Bulls College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mustangs 10.7, the Bulls 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
