Softball Recap: Herriman Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Copper Hills, Herriman was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Taylorsville Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ashlyn Beratto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on McKenzie Quintero, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Ruby McQueen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Herriman is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Taylorsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8.
