Basketball Recap: Mount Mercy Academy Comes Up Short

Mount Mercy Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 48-39 to the Mount St. Mary Academy Thunder. The Magic were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunder from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Mercy Academy lost, don't look at Alexis Dintino. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points. Dintino continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Bella Scarcello was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mount Mercy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Mount Mercy Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-25 victory against Buffalo Seminary on the 5th. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 51-41 loss against The Park School of Buffalo on the 5th.
