Basketball Recap: Cleburne County Comes Up Short

Cleburne County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 43-26 fall against the Ranburne Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 37-20 defeat last Friday.

Cleburne County's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Ranburne, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cleburne County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ranburne, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on LaFayette at 4:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
