Niles North is 10-0 against Maine East since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Niles North Vikings will head out to challenge the Maine East Blue Demons at 6:30 p.m. Niles North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 27 matchups -- so hopefully Maine East likes a good challenge.

Niles North took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Schurz 83-27. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maine East). Everything went their way against Elk Grove on Tuesday as Maine East made off with an 85-65 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Demons as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Niles North is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Maine East, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-15.

Everything came up roses for Niles North against Maine East in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 90-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Niles North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
