Softball Recap: Buckeye Central Gets the Win

Buckeye Central proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Mohawk Warriors. While the Bucks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Buckeye Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Mohawk fell to 12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckeye Central will host Seneca East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.33 runs per game on average), something the Bucks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mohawk, they will take on Van Buren at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
