Walther Christian Academy is a perfect 6-0 against Ellison since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Broncos will be playing at home against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Walther Christian Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

On Thursday, Walther Christian Academy earned a 2-0 victory over Southland College Prep.

Walther Christian Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16.

Walther Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Isabella Rosado, who had eight assists and four aces. That's the most aces Rosado has posted since back in August.

Rosado wasn't the only good servers: Walther Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Ellison didn't have quite enough to beat Providence-St. Mel on Thursday and fell 2-1. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-20 in the first set.

Ellison started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Walther Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Ellison, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Walther Christian Academy beat Ellison 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Broncos repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
