Mercy had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Schuyler Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Monarchs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mercy took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15.

Gillian Bash paced Mercy's offense, picking up six kills. Bash got some help from Kaitlyn Reed and her seven assists. Bash also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hailey Carlsen, each putting up three.

Mercy's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Schuyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Mercy has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Elkhorn on the 6th. Schuyler has also already played their next match (against Shelby-Rising City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
