Basketball Recap: Stewart County Comes Up Short

Stewart County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 38-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Early County Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Royal Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 134th).

Nakevia Brown was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ty'Jerrica Russell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Stewart County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Early County, their record is now 9-2.

Stewart County will welcome Pataula Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Early County, they will head out on the road to challenge Seminole County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
