            Softball Recap: Seffner Christian Crusaders vs. Seven Rivers Christian Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Seffner Christian was handed a six-run  loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene  on Friday. They skirted past the Seven Rivers Christian Warriors  4-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

 Allison Baston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 On the hitting side, Seffner Christian let  Tenley Newman and  Eliana Serrano run wild. Newman  scored a  run and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances, while  Serrano  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Emory Beauchamp also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
Seffner Christian's record now sits at 4-5. As for Seven Rivers Christian,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
 Seffner Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  4-3  win against Foundation Christian Academy on the 25th. As for Seven Rivers Christian, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  16-0  defeat against Bronson on the 20th.
