Football Game Recap: Reagan vs. Mourning

Mourning fell to Reagan 6-46 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Mourning were able to grind out a solid victory over Reagan on Friday, winning 54-47. Yes, you read that final score correctly. Yes, this was football.

Mourning's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 31 points in the first half. Reagan wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 22 to make it 31-22 heading into the break. Mourning were outperformed in the second half 23-25 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. Finally capturing their first win of the season, they advanced to 1-5. The loss dropped Reagan's record to 2-6.

Next week Mourning take on Mater Academy Charter at 7:30 PM. Mater Academy Charter took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Mourning's good fortune. As for Reagan, they will face off against South Miami.
