Football Recap: Melba Mustangs vs. Weiser Wolverines
Melba won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 61-22 defeat at the hands of the Weiser Wolverines.
Kolin Cook was a one-man wrecking crew for Weiser as he threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Walker, who gained 86 total yards and two touchdowns.
Melba now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Weiser, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Melba will face off against North Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Fremont will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Melba surely won't give up without a fight. As for Weiser, they will square off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
