Basketball Recap: Saks Comes Up Short

Saks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Weaver Bearcats 75-47. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 62-50 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Saks' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Weaver, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Saks Wildcats challenge the Wellborn Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weaver, they will challenge Randolph County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Weaver's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.
