Volleyball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Powell Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Oak Ridge was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, 25-18.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Powell, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Oak Ridge will head out on the road to take on West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Powell, they will venture away from home to square off against Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
