Volleyball Recap: Greece Athena Takes a Loss

Greece Athena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Canandaigua Academy Braves, falling 3-0. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Canandaigua Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.

Greece Athena's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Canandaigua Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Greece Athena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Webster Thomas on the 8th. As for Canandaigua Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Brighton on the 8th.
