Football Game Preview: Tascosa Rebels vs. Parkland Matadors

The Tascosa Rebels will host the Parkland Matadors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tascosa is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since October 18, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against Amarillo, falling 63-21. The Rebels were down 41-7 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-21, which was the final score in Parkland's tilt against El Dorado on Thursday. The Matadors have struggled against the Aztecs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Tascosa will need to focus on slowing down Carter Perez, one of several Parkland players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 59 yards on only seven carries, and also caught one touchdown.

Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Tascosa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
