Baseball Game Preview: La Pryor Bulldogs vs. D'Hanis Cowboys

La Pryor hasn't had much luck against D'Hanis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. La Pryor has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

La Pryor is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 17-3 to Three Rivers.

Arnold Dube was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when D'Hanis and Brackett meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Cowboys blew past the Tigers 24-9. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

D'Hanis has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for La Pryor, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

La Pryor suffered a grim 19-6 defeat to D'Hanis in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
