Football Game Preview: Andrews Yellowjackets vs. Cheraw Braves + How To Watch

The Andrews Yellowjackets will take on the Cheraw Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Andrews ended up a good deal behind Philip Simmons and lost 28-14. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Iron Horses recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Cheraw won against Buford two weeks ago with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Braves' defense stepped up to hand Chesterfield a 51-0 shutout. Considering the Braves have won four games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cheraw's win came from a few key players Andrews will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kadin Thomas, who threw for 214 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 214 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Justyn Joint also helped with two scores in total.

The win (which was Cheraw's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average over those games. As for Andrews, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
