Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. Center Roughriders

The Jefferson Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Center Roughriders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Jefferson's tournament run continued when they took on Hooks on Saturday. Jefferson lost 12-2 to Hooks.

Maddie Cooner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Timpson, falling 18-1.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Jefferson suffered a grim 23-10 defeat to Center when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
