Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Central Kitsap Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 last Tuesday.

Lincoln saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Grice, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Grice's first of the season.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Central Kitsap, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Coming up, Lincoln will face off against Bellarmine Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Kitsap, they will challenge Olympic at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
