Baseball Recap: Iroquois Comes Up Short

Iroquois was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to the Franklin Knights.

Ethan Alderson and Cole Bennett stepped up to the plate in a big way. Alderson went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, while Bennett went 1-for-2 with one home run. That's the most stolen bases Alderson has posted since back in April of 2024.

Iroquois' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Franklin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Iroquois will challenge Cochranton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Iroquois is facing Cochranton at the right time seeing as Cochranton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they will face off against Reynolds at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
