Football Recap: Lockport's Run of Eight Straight Victories Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lockport can now relate to. They fell just short of the Oswego Panthers by a score of 10-7 on Saturday. The game marked the Porters' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Memphis Huguley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oswego, rushing for 127 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Huguley has posted since back in October.

The loss snapped Lockport's winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 9-4 record. As for Oswego, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Lockport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oswego, they will challenge Chicago Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Caravan have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
