Basketball Recap: C.B. Aycock Takes a Loss

C.B. Aycock was the 36-32 winner over Fike when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fike Demons on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why C.B. Aycock lost, don't look at Madison Smith. Despite the final result, she posted ten points.

C.B. Aycock's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Fike, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

C.B. Aycock and Fike should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. C.B. Aycock (ranked 85th) will meet West Johnston (ranked 419th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fike will challenge East Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 370 places (60 vs. 430).
