Soccer Game Preview: Palacios vs. Bay City

Palacios hasn't had much luck against Bay City recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Palacios Sharks will challenge the Bay City Blackcats at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Palacios had just enough and edged Rice Consolidated out 2-1.

Meanwhile, Bay City waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blackcats, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Bay City pushed their record up to 11-2-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Palacios, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1.

Palacios might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Bay City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Palacios avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
