Everything went their way against Poudre Community Academy on Wednesday as Aurora West College Prep Academy made off with a 49-23 win. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Aurora West College Prep Academy found their leader in sophomore Maria Gutierrez Benitez, who shot 5-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double on 21 points and 20 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gutierrez Benitez has scored all season. Setou Sy was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 rebounds.

Aurora West College Prep Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 37 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Ascent Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, their victory ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.

Ascent Classical Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Aurora West College Prep Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 20-17.
