Basketball Recap: Dusable Has No Trouble Against Amandla Charter School

It was a proper cat-fight when DuSable challenged Amandla Charter School on Thursday. Everything went the DuSable Panthers' way against the Amandla Charter School Bobcats as the DuSable Panthers made off with a 59-36 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

DuSable found their leader in sophomore Corvante Mattews, who posted 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mattews has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyshawn Burns, who scored nine points.

DuSable now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Amandla Charter School, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

DuSable will be playing in front of their home fans against Hirsch at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amandla Charter School, they will head out on the road to challenge Excel Academy of Englewood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
