Baseball Recap: River View Raiders vs. James Monroe Mavericks        
        
		
            
 After flying high against Mount View  last Wednesday, River View came back down to earth. The River View Raiders lost  12-2 to the James Monroe Mavericks on Thursday. River View has not had much luck with James Monroe recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
 River View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gabe Lester, who  went 3-for-3 with a  stolen base. Lester has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last six times he's  played.
 On James Monroe's side,  Justin Feamster made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 12 batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Feamster was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Ridgeway and  Kaden Lowe did most of the damage at the plate:  Ridgeway  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 4-for-4, while  Lowe  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kadyn Hines, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
 River View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for James Monroe, the  win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
 As of now, neither River View nor James Monroe have any future games scheduled.
