Canyon had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-6 W against the Crean Lutheran Saints. Given the Comanches' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Saints are ranked 179th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Caroline Hicks.

Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Crean Lutheran, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-8.

Canyon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-33 win against Cypress on the 29th. As for Crean Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 24-13 loss against Esperanza on the 29th.
