Basketball Recap: Horton Takes a Loss

After flying high against McLouth last Tuesday, Horton came back down to earth. The Horton Chargers lost to the Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy Ravens on the road by a 61-42 margin on Friday. The Chargers have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4-1. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2-1.

Looking ahead, Horton will head out to square off against Jefferson County North on Tuesday. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, they will challenge Jackson Heights on Tuesday. Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Jackson Heights likes a good challenge.
