Basketball Recap: Montgomery Central Starts off Right with Win over Anson

Montgomery Central took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-32 win over the Anson Bearcats. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

When it comes to explaining why Anson lost, don't look at Alaysia Caraway. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points and five steals. Caraway is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Komoria Chambers, who scored six points and five boards.

Montgomery Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-13 defeat against Wheatmore on the 20th. As for Anson, they will head out to square off against Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
