Soccer Game Preview: Carroll County vs. Pulaski County

The Carroll County Cavaliers will take on the Pulaski County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carroll County will be strutting in after a win while Pulaski County will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Carroll County earned a 3-1 victory over Martinsville. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Carroll County's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Martinsville are ranked 266th).

Meanwhile, Pulaski County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Hidden Valley. The matchup was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Pulaski County couldn't quite close it out.

Carroll County's win bumped their record up to 8-6-3. As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
