Soccer Recap: Hopatcong Takes a Loss

Hopatcong and Sussex County Tech pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Sussex County Tech, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Chiefs fell just short of Sussex County Tech by a score of 1-0. Hopatcong were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Sussex County Tech earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Hopatcong's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Sussex County Tech, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Hopatcong has already played their next matchup, a 7-1 defeat against Kittatinny Regional on the 3rd. As for Sussex County Tech, they will welcome Trinity Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
