1A Tri-Peaks recap November 13, 2013
Buena Vista added to the longest winning streak in 1A Tri-Peaks this week by beating Resurrection Christian, 42-35. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Buena Vista made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,557 from 4,989. The improvement was largely due to a 42-35 victory over the Cougars last week.
Ellicott's JaVonte' Stewart and Jacob Crist led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stewart has thrown for 1,347 yards this season, while Crist has 31 catches for 784 yards. Sean Daniels from Rye leads the league in rushing with 1,357 yards.
In 137 carries TJ Stockton has put up 913 yards this year.
Matt Flavin's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Resurrection Christian. Keegan Wentz threw for 24 yards and ran for 123 yards in the win.
