Basketball Recap: Yoakum Takes a Loss

Yoakum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 44-37 to the Palacios Sharks. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sharks earlier this season, when they won 54-50.

Yoakum's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Palacios, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yoakum will take on Rice Consolidated in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Yoakum is facing Rice Consolidated at the right time seeing as Rice Consolidated is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Palacios, they will be home for the holidays to greet Edna at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
