Football Recap: Fort Myers Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Fort Myers's offense. They were beaten by the Bonita Springs Bullsharks 27-0 on Tuesday. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bullsharks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

A big part of Bonita Springs' victory came down to the chemistry between Kylee Terry and her top target Jaslene Garcia. Terry threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.7% of her passes while Garcia picked up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Fort Myers' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.0 points on average over those games. As for Bonita Springs, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Fort Myers has already played their next match (against Dunbar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bonita Springs, they have already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Lehigh on the 27th.
