Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Now 11-3 over Last 14 Games

Chaparral posted their closest victory since September 22nd on Friday. They skirted past the Erie Tigers 3-2.

Chaparral was led to victory by Jenna Baller and Brooke Wildhagen. Baller had 27 digs and two aces, while Wildhagen had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Wildhagen has posted since back in September. Sahara Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Chaparral was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Erie only served four.

Despite the loss, Erie still got an impressive performance from Olivia Harris, who had 20 digs. Harris is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

Chaparral is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Erie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-7.

Coming up, Chaparral will challenge Rampart at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Erie, they will square off against Thompson Valley at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
