Baseball Recap: Union Pines Takes a Loss

Union Pines came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Richmond Raiders by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Union Pines' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
