Volleyball Recap: Sidney Takes a Loss

Sidney suffered their biggest defeat since September 9th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tippecanoe Red Devils, falling 3-0. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Sidney saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ahniyah Wilson had ten digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Marly Coons, who had six digs and five assists.

Among those leading the charge was Faith Siefring, who had 15 digs and one assist. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 43 times she's played.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Tippecanoe, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sidney will take on Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tippecanoe, they will square off against Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
