Baseball Recap: Lubbock-Cooper Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lubbock-Cooper and Grapevine squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lubbock-Cooper had to settle for second. They fell 13-8 to the Mustangs. The Pirates have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Lubbock-Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 31-16. As for Grapevine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-3 record this season.

Lubbock-Cooper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grapevine, they will challenge Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Leopards have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
