Cleveland waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Rhea County Golden Eagles by a score of 51-41. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cleveland had a senior duo take command as Lauren Hurst went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points along with five boards and three steals and Emma Smith posted 15 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Hurst has posted since back in March of 2024. Laney Copeland was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Cleveland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Cleveland pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Rhea County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Cleveland will venture away from home to take on Walker Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rhea County, they will take on Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
