Recap: Bluffton Tigers vs. Southern Wells Raiders
The Bluffton Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 70-27 victory over Southern Wells. With Bluffton ahead 44-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Bluffton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Konley Ault out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The game was Ault's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Haley Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Bluffton's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Southern Wells, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Bluffton will head out on the road to face off against Woodlan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Woodlan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Thursday. As for Southern Wells, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Heritage at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Heritage has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
