Baseball Game Preview: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams vs. Windber Ramblers

The Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams will take on the Windber Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Turkeyfoot Valley Area has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 9.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area came up short against Berlin Brothersvalley on Thursday, falling 14-3.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lee Bowers, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Daniel Younkin was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Windber made easy work of Conemaugh Valley on Friday and carried off a 14-8 win. The Ramblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Windber's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Turkeyfoot Valley Area has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Windber struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Windber in their previous meeting back in April of 2018. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
