Basketball Game Preview: Bible Baptist Christian Wolves vs. Patrick Henry Academy Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Bible Baptist Christian Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Bible Baptist Christian came up short against Augusta Christian and fell 49-39. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bible Baptist Christian might have lost, but man, Jaquayvion Gilmore was a machine: he dropped a double-double with 28 points and 30 boards. Gilmore's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alphonso Rolle, who posted four points and 12 rebounds.

Patrick Henry Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bible Baptist Christian.

Bible Baptist Christian will need to focus on slowing down Michael Mizzell, one of several Patrick Henry Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points along with six boards and three steals. Daivon Glover was another key player, putting up 20 points and five assists.

Bible Baptist Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Patrick Henry Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Bible Baptist Christian beat Patrick Henry Academy 65-57 in their previous meeting on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
