Volleyball Recap: McMinn County Comes Up Short

McMinn County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Signal Mountain Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cherokees of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

McMinn County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Signal Mountain, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-11.

McMinn County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Walker Valley on the 30th. As for Signal Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Sale Creek on the 1st.
